Do we have to wait until 2020 to get rid of the Tories?

Petition: Repeal the Fixed-Term Parliament Act 2011

In 2011, the coalition made up of the Conservative party and the Liberal Democrat Party passed the Fixed Length Parliaments Act 2011. The effect of this is that there can only be General Elections every five years, and that means we can’t have another one until 2020.

The Labour Party has changed. It is no longer controlled by Tony Blair and his clique. It no longer tries to copy Tory policies in the strange belief that it can beat the Tories by being like them.


Under such circumstances, it seems to me to be very unfair that we have to wait until 2020 to find out if the 76% of the electorate who didn’t vote for David Cameron’s Conservative Party would have voted for the Labour Party we now have.
